One Mom's Experience:
Curt's bracelet saved his life a year ago when he escaped our home. He had gone out the front door and toddled down our country road wearing only house slippers, pajama pants and a t-shirt. He was only three years old, non-verbal, and it was dusk and chilly. He somehow passed our lake (with ducks flapping and quacking) and probably a few deer (always scampering out of the way) but somehow stayed focused on the road. My stomach turns just thinking about how it could have turned out--from either chasing an animal into the woods, or being smaller than an approaching car. But some wonderful Angel, a good samaritan indeed, was driving by and saw he was a little guy all alone--and certainly not dressed for a nature walk. So he stopped and saw the silver bracelet immediately.
He parked his car on the side of the road and put Curt in it, letting him play with the radio dials, while he called my number on his bracelet. When I answered the telephone, I was shocked and frantic when he told me he had my little one in his car. I did not even know yet that he'd slipped out (because I could hear his twin brother Colton, who's also autistic, playing in their room). The man explained that he was visiting the area so he was not familiar with my address. I told him I did not want him to go anywhere! "Just stay put and I'll be right there!" I frantically jumped in the car and sped down the almost half mile trek that my boy (who knows no danger) had just made on his own. And when I found that man at the end of the road, phone in one hand, my child's hand in the other, a happier Mother there NEVER was! I am convinced this "traveling man" was an Angel placed in just the right spot to save us. I am thankful to God first and foremost, and also thankful to your company for providing the tool that achieved a happy ending. Luckily we never had a repeat "escape." We put alarms on our outside doors that very week, and we keep their bracelets updated and legible periodically. (Their current ones have rubbed the color off the medical emblem and wording is scratched--they are busy boys and tough customers!) It is such a tiny, tiny price to pay for the security of knowing that other people can recognize there's an issue and respond appropriately.

I just recived my daughter's necklace .I wanted to tell you my story .My daughter collapsed in Aug and bit a hole through her lip. She was diagnoised with hypoglyecima.We talked for several months about getting a med id for her.Just last Sat her older brother who is mentally ahndicap was also diagnoised with the same thing. I then decided that we had to get med ids for both of them. I serched the web and found a few websites. I ordered off the 1st one I found that was cheap,and ordered my son an id necklace.unfourtantly it was a differnt site than yours.My daughter who is very picking couldnt find one that she liked at that site so i ordered the one I found and told her to look for a different company and find one she liked. She came across your site and fell in love with one. So we ordered it. There was a day inbetween the two orders. Yours was in the mail on saturday and the other has yet to ship. Given another opportunity I will order from your site again.You are so fast getting orders out I couldnt belive it. I know wish I would have found your site 1st. The past few years I have been working with children as a paraprofessional math specialist teacher. Still employed, with summers off, I have been requested to offer my jewelry again. People need this product!!

I will be sharing this web site with my son's school, which is a state-funded school for autism spectrum children including a preschool section. I am sure that the parents would appreciate this information, especially if their children are wanderers like most autistic children tend to be. I did do some searching before I came across your site, which thankfully ended by distraught feeling of not finding a special needs-friendly product. I received my bracelet today and I am extremely pleased with it. It is just about a perfect size and fit.
You folks do good work. I especially like the engraving. I had ordered two bracelets from American Medical ID before I ordered yours. The bracelets they sent were not engraved but lightly etched into the metal surface. The lettering lasted less that two weeks of wear. And the edges of their bracelets were rough enough to cut flesh. So thanks again and I shall let friends and family know where to get good medical ID bracelets.

Once again, I amazed at your product, cost, and shipping. I needed to update my medical ID and of course, I came back to Oneida. Must be that Midwestern thing. My wife always said she wanted to marry someone form the Midwest, something about the work ethic, loyalty, etc. I grew up in Omaha back when your word actually meant something.
There has to be way for you to shut people like American Medical down. Does it matter if I'm a rich or sensible diabetic? I didn't think so.

I'm almost certain you folks did our daughter's bracelet a number of years ago and I apparently didn't hang on to the information. The vast majority of the products out there are either impossible to personalize or else take weeks to arrive or are outrageously priced--or both! At one point I got an order all set up on another site because its price wasn't absolutely horrible (but still $7 higher than yours), only to discover that they were going to charge $3 extra for a simple wallet card and then an incredible $19.95 for the slowest shipping option--and then not ship it until after Feb. 8!! I don't know how people live with themselves doing business like that.
Even though I don't think I'll need it for a long time, because your products are extremely durable, you can be sure I'm filing your information this time around!

Protected: that is the essential value that a medical tag provides. I am an RN and have worked as a paramedic. In an emergency if a child, an elder or a pet has wandered off there are absolutely no words to express the value of a medical tag that states medical condition and the contact information. I recently acquired a Siamese kitten (tossed in my garage by someone). She weighed 1.5 pounds when I got my hands on her. Finally, between my knowledge and an older vet’s knowledge we determined that she has chronic pancreatitis; in sum, without medication prior to each meal she cannot digest food. She will have this condition her whole life. Thus, last week I confronted the problem of how to alert her condition should she somehow get lost or separated from me. I discovered Oneida Nameplate Co after doing an extensive Google search. I knew exactly what I wanted and needed a tag that would allow me to include all important information and Oneida Nameplate Co had the perfect tag, that being, Stainless Steel Dogtag Style Necklace K. And I also contacted the company by phone and later by email and spoke to Genny Bennett. Genny was helpful, professional and understood the issue and what I needed. Genny answered many of my questions: I appreciated that. The tag arrived yesterday and it is on Sweet Pea now. The quality of the tag is excellent, the engraving I requested perfect to the letter and it arrived 2 days after I ordered.
